SUMMARY:Victims’ Perspectives: Barometer Research on Awareness of the Register of Damage for Ukraine
DESCRIPTION:🇬🇧 \nThe Ukraine Legal Network is launching a “Barometer” research  to assess awareness among Ukrainians residing in the Netherlands about the Register of Damage for Ukraine established in the Hague by the European Commission. \nThis initiative aims to gather feedback from the Ukrainian community regarding their knowledge of the available options for claiming compensation for losses and damages they have suffered due to Russian aggression in their homeland. \nULN is a part of this community and has been created to respond to the Ukrainian community’s needs. By working on the ground\, interacting with survivors\, and seeking ways to support and guide them towards justice\, the Network is dedicated to fulfilling its core mission. \nThe International and European community together with the Ukrainian government\, along with the President\, has made significant efforts to develop and establish a compensation mechanism for all victims in Ukraine.  \n The establishment of the International Register of Damage for Ukraine in The Hague is a critical first step toward ensuring justice and enabling compensation for victims\, aiming to support those affected even before the war’s conclusion.  \nIn the light of this\, we invite Ukrainians to take part in our questionnaire and make an input in assessing the community’s awareness of the Register of Damage and the broader compensation mechanism. \nThis research is designed to help us better understand and amplify concerns and hesitations of the Ukrainians. \nThe project will be carried out in two phases: \n\n Conducting comprehensive research to collect data;\n Sharing received results\, highlighting the key findings to policymakers\, legal experts\, and relevant stakeholders\, ensuring that victims’ voices are heard and acted upon.\n\nAll collected information and feedback will be carefully analysed and systematised. Importantly\, the insights gained will be shared as mentioned with key stakeholders involved in the crucial process of restoring justice and facilitating processes of claims submissions for compensation. \nULN will process all collected data in a safe and confidential manner\, ensuring that it serves the best interests of the Ukrainian community in the Netherlands\, who have been affected by Russian aggression. \nThis research is crucial as it can help us understand the Ukrainian community’s current experiences in utilising available opportunities to seek justice\, as well as their involvement in all stages of its implementation moving forward. \nThe questionnaire is accessible via the following link – Victims’ Perspective Barometer  \n  \n ***** \n \n🇺🇦Погляд постраждалих: Дослідження «Барометр» щодо обізнаності про Реєстр Збитків для України   \nПогляд постраждалих: Дослідження «Барометр» щодо обізнаності про Реєстр Збитків для України \nUkraine Legal Network запускає дослідження «Барометр» для оцінки рівня обізнаності українців у Нідерландах про Реєстр Збитків для України\, створений Радою Європи в Гаазі. \nЦя ініціатива покликана отримати зворотний відгук від української громади щодо її обізнаності про можливості подання заяв на компенсацію за втрати та збитки\, завдані агресією Росії в Україні. \nULN є частиною цієї громади та створена для підтримки та реагування на потреби постраждалих українців. Організація реалізує свою основну місію через роботу на місцях\, спілкування з постраждалими та пошук шляхів надання їм підтримки. \nМіжнародна спільнота та Європейський Союз\, у співпраці з українським урядом та Президентом\, доклали значних зусиль для розробки та впровадження механізму компенсації для всіх постраждалих в Україні. \nСтворення Міжнародного Реєстру Збитків для України в Гаазі стало важливим першим кроком до досягнення в майбутньому справедливості та отримання компенсацій\, підтримуючи таким чином постраждалих ще до завершення війни. \nМи запрошуємо українців взяти участь в опитуванні та зробити свій внесок у дослідження щодо рівня обізнаності громади про Реєстр Збитків та майбутнього механізму компенсації. \nЦе дослідження допоможе нам глибше зрозуміти й врахувати досвід та вагання  українців. \nПроект реалізується у два етапи: \n\nПроведення комплексного дослідження та збору даних;\nПублікація результатів із акцентом на ключових висновках для політичних діячів\, правових експертів та зацікавлених сторін\, щоб голоси постраждалих були почуті й враховані.\n\nУся зібрана інформація буде ретельно проаналізована й систематизована.
