Members of Ukraine Legal Network’s team recently had the exciting opportunity to visit Eurojust and dive into EU criminal justice cooperation.
During our visit, we delved into the intricate Eurojust legal framework and explored how it facilitates collaboration and mutual assistance between countries to tackle cross-border crime. It was particularly fascinating to see firsthand how Eurojust enhances judicial cooperation among EU member states, ensuring that justice is served across borders.
One of the standout moments of our visit was learning about Eurojust’s proactive response to the situation in Ukraine. The creation of the Core International Crime Evidence Database is a testament to their commitment to addressing complex international war crimes committed in Ukraine. This database will play an important role in helping prosecutors to build their cases and to start judicial processes.
